Google Search Appliance Product Models
The Google Search Appliance is licensed in a two or three-year contract,
with hardware, software, product updates, support, and product replacement
coverage all included for one low price. This “one price” model eliminates
expensive annual maintenance fees and removes the threat of cost overruns.
Pricing is based on the number of documents crawled, letting you provide
Google search functionality to your entire user base, with no limits on number
of queries, at no additional cost.
GB-7007
The GB-7007 is a rack-mounted two-unit (2U) appliance that can be licensed to search up to 10 million documents. Additionally, multiple GB-7007s can be linked together to support larger document counts, or to integrate search across multiple departments, geographies, or websites. Based on a RAID architecture and with redundant components, the GB-7007 provides built-in redundancy.
New! The GB-7007 now supports all license points from 500,000 to 10 million documents. With a single platform addressing all enterprise content, organizations can easily upgrade their license points without replacing the hardware or software.
Note that the GB-7007 replaces the GB-1001 for all new customers interested in license counts between 500,000 and three million documents. This provides a faster, more robust architecture with seamless scalability at no additional cost.
GB-9009
Ideal for centralized deployments that support multiple business units or large websites, the GB-9009 can search up to 30 million documents out of the box. For larger deployments, multiple GB-9009 appliances can be linked together to search hundreds of millions or even billions of documents. The GB-9009 enables built-in redundancy and failover, delivering maximum capacity and reliability.
Note that the GB-9009 replaces the GB-8008 for all new customers interested in license counts of 15 million or more. This provides a faster and more robust architecture with seamless scalability at no additional cost.
